Frequently asked questions

The rules here are not the rules I know.

Very likely, and that is the point. Open Settings → Agreements and change them: who opens, whether there is a boneyard, what a blocked round scores, what the target is. Save the result as your own set and it will be waiting next time. The Rules page lists what each agreement does.

Why can I not save these rules?

Because two of them contradict each other, and the editor says which in red under the offending one. A round that cannot end, a target nobody can reach or a shape that needs a double to open but is set to open on any tile are all refused rather than dealt and discovered halfway through.

My match disappeared — can I get it back?

A single-player match is saved after every move. Choose Resume game in the main menu. The save lives on your device, so deleting the app deletes it too. Online matches are not saved this way; while a room is alive you can rejoin it.

How does multiplayer work?

Choose Multi Player, enter any display name, then either create a room and share its code, or use Quick match. Empty seats are filled with computer players when the host starts. No account is needed. The room plays by the host's rule set.

I lost my connection during an online game.

Reopen the app and rejoin — your seat is held for a while and the match carries on where it stopped. If the room has already expired, start a new one.

“Could not reach the server”

Check that your device is online and that your network is not blocking WebSocket connections; some corporate and hotel networks do. Single-player always works offline.

A tile I expected to be playable is dimmed.

Dimmed means it has nowhere to go this turn. Most often a double has shut the table until somebody covers it, or in Trains you are looking at somebody else's train. Turning off Highlight playable tiles in Settings hides the dimming if you would rather work it out yourself.

How do I change the language?

The game follows your device language (English or Russian) by default. Override it in Settings → Language.

How are deals kept fair online?

Before each deal the server publishes a cryptographic hash of the shuffle and reveals the seed afterwards, so the deal can be checked. The other players' tiles are never sent to your device.
